Parliament Winter Session: Leader of opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi took part in the discussion on the Constitution in the House on Saturday. During this, Rahul Gandhi fiercely attacked the central government. Yogi government of UP was also on Rahul’s target regarding Hathras rape case. Rahul said, a Dalit girl was raped four years ago in Hathras. The criminals are roaming outside while the victim’s family is living a life of imprisonment. Where is this written in the Constitution? Manu Smriti is applicable in UP, not the Constitution.
Rahul Gandhi said, the Constitution contains the thoughts of Ambedkar and Gandhi Nehru. The sources of those ideas were Shiva, Buddha, Mahavir, Kabir etc. He said, regarding the Constitution, Savarkar had said that the worst thing about the Constitution is that there is nothing Indian in it. Manu Smriti should be implemented in its place. When you talk about saving the Constitution, you are making fun of your leader Savarkar.
Rahul Gandhi said, just as Dronacharya cut off the thumb of Ekalavya, similarly you are cutting off the thumb of the youth of the people of India. When you sell Dharavi to Adani, you bite the thumb of the people of Dharavi. When you help Adani, you help the people of the country. Rahul Gandhi said, we want to show whose thumb you have cut through the caste census in the country. We will also demolish the 50 percent wall of reservation limit.
Referring to the Hathras incident in UP, Rahul Gandhi said, “Four years ago, a Dalit girl was raped in Hathras. The criminals are roaming outside while the victims’ families are living a life of imprisonment. Where is this written in the Constitution? Constitution in UP No, Manu Smriti is applicable. The government has not kept the promise of providing a house to that family at another place. He said that innocent people were killed in Sambhal. These people fight one religion against another.
Rahul Gandhi stressed that through caste census we want to show the country whose thumb you cut off! Will demolish the wall of 50% reservation limit.
